Introducing The Steady Parent

Ongoing behaviour and nervous system support for parents of young children

Ongoing support, not one-off advice

Parenting doesn’t get hard once, it gets hard over and over again.

The Steady Parent offers ongoing guidance and support as real life unfolds, not just in moments of crisis.

Understand behaviour beneath the surface

Behaviour isn’t random or defiant, it’s communication.

You’ll learn how to understand what behaviour is really asking for, so you’re not stuck guessing or reacting in the moment.

Support for the parent, not just the child

This isn’t just about children.

You’ll be supported to understand your own nervous system, triggers and responses so you can show up with more steadiness when things feel hard.

A supportive space for parents who are doing their best and need support too.

The I AM Difference

This is for you if...

  • You love your child deeply, but feel stuck in cycles of meltdowns, resistance or emotional overwhelm

  • You often feel unsure what your child actually needs in the moment

  • You’re tired of reacting and want calmer, steadier responses

  • You feel guilty for how things unfold sometimes, even though you’re trying your best

  • You want support that understands you as well, not just your child

This isn’t about quick fixes, punishment or perfect parenting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What actually is 'The Steady Parent'

The Steady Parent is an ongoing support space for parents navigating behaviour, big feelings and the emotional load of parenting.

It’s not a course you “complete” and not a program where you’re told what to do.

It’s a place to understand what’s going on, for your child and for you, over time, as real life happens.

Do I have to talk, share or participate in live sessions?

No.

You're welcome to listen quietly, watch replays or engage only when it feels right. There's no pressure to speak, share or explain yourself.

What if I don't have the energy to do much right now?

That's ok.

This space isn't about effort or doing more. Often the shift comes from slowing down not immediate action. You can come tired, unsure or overwhelmed and still belong here.

Is this about fixing my child or changing how I parent?

No.

This isn't about quick fixes, control or perfect parenting. It's about understanding and supporting steadiness for you and your child.

What if I miss sessions or fall behind?

There is no falling behind.

This isn't linear work, each week is designed to operate within its own structure and not require previous knowledge to understand. Come and go as life allows, the support remains there as you need it.

You don't need to have it all together to be here.
